Rules for Religious Radicals, Pt.1 (Luke 11:37-54)

When it comes to morality,there are two major errors that Christians must guard against. One is antinomianism, or living with "no rules", discounting God's holiness and presuming upon His grace. The more likely error, however, is legalism, where one's spiritual life becomes all about the rules. As we will see in this passage from Luke's gospel, Jesus attacked religious legalism directly and pointedly, and provided guidance in recognizing the tendency towards legalism within others, and ourselves.
